When attaching the flaps on an rv-6 is there a problem
splitting the hinge pin in two and installing it from
center of the flap out towards the ends of the flap. 
As I see it you could remove the flap easier in
service. Suggestions?

Pat, 

That is what I did and it worked fine.  I put a 90 degree bend in the
pin with a couple of inches sticking up which I safety wired to the
curved aluminum (my mind has gone blank, I can't remember the name of
the part)
