General description:

A seven-year labour of love by an experienced craftsman, engineer and designer. Outstanding wiring and electrical work. Excellent construction quality. The fabulous performance and handling RVs are famous for. The airplane has leather seats by DJ, but has an otherwise unfinished interior. The paint is a very basic, thin coat fo automotive white. I consider the paint to be a temporary covering until a paint job worthy of the rest of the aircraft can be applied. The price reflects that.

Price:

$69,750 CDN OBO.

Reason for selling:

I have an RV8 kit on the way, less time for XC flying for the next several years, a reduced family income and a new house to pay for (!).

Location: St. Thomas, Ontario (20 NM south of London, ON). Delivery anywhere in North America may be negotiable.

Owned and maintained by AME’s since 1999 and is based in Victoria ( CYYJ). Engine was "0" timed in 2003 and includes new Superior cylinder assemblies. This plane flies very well and has been very economical to operate averaging 7.5 USG per hour, however it does require painting due to paint oxidation on upper surfaces. Airfame is corrosion free and has been treated with ACF50. All logs and AD's up to date. Reason for selling is that we are building an RV-7. Will ferry to any location in Canada/USA for costs. Will also fly to your location to view for costs (reimbursed if you purchase) More photos available via email. Telephone 250 881 7324 or 250-881-0460 for any questions, we are motivated to sell. My RV-6A slider was completed in August, 1993. I have flown, maintained, and done all the work for over 650 hours. It has always been housed in a hangar. This plane has won the President's Choice award at the Abbotsford Air Show. I have flown to Oshkosh, Northern Ontario, and back to Langley, BC. The engine is a completely rebuilt Lycoming O-320-E2A. All four cylinders were removed, bored out, Cermachromed for larger pistons to make this 160 HP. All metal parts were magnafluxed and assembled professionally. It has standardized instrumentation, three-way electric trim, Nav/land/strobe lights, and is also equipped with a GPS, 10-station programmable radio, a transponder, and some international electronic instruments. Asking price CDN$75,000.
