C-GWYR was built by Gord Russell and Bill Yont of Villeneuve, AB and first flew in June, 1991.
Bruce Jaques of Chetwynd, BC bought GWYR in August, 1998, and has been a regular at the annual Father's Day Fly-in in Salmon Arm. He and GWYR made the pilgrimage to Oshkosh in 2001.
A dry country airplane, GWYR was never closer to salt water than Chilliwack until February 2005 when she was brought to Delta Heritage AirPark by her new owner, Hammy McClymont of Richmond, BC. Hammy now keeps her at Sechelt airport.
