I'm pleased to report that RV-8A, C-GRJE made it's first flight on August 11, 2003. All went well and after 10 hrs there have been no problems (except one mic jack wiring snag) and much joy.
With an 0-360, fixed pitch Sensenich, VFR panel (no vacuum), leather seats but otherwise painted only interior final weight came in at 1054 lbs.
A thanks to RV builder Peter Harrison who took the post flight photos and allowed m e to stay current in his 9A over the past year. Also a thanks to my family and Dad for their support, to all of you at Vans Aircraft, and to all of the RV Builders who set such a high construction standard to aim for.
