C-FRVE was built by Marc DeGirolamo, of Saskatoon, SK. Marc started in January, 1993, and the first flight was July 7, 2001.
"C-FRVE flew straight and true without having to tweek anything. It does need a little right rudder to keep the ball centered though. Initial testing using a Colin Walker 70X69 prop gives us 140kts true @ 2400 rpm. Climb test at 1500 lbs gave us a average climb of slightly under 1000 ft/min. Total altitude gainied was 2900 ft in 3 min. Oil temperature seems to stay steady near 160F (I would like it to be slightly warmer)."
